5 Marketing Tips to Help Your Small Business Grow Faster Than Others

The goal of marketing is making both the seller and the buyer happy. If the buyer finds what the seller has to be relevant to them, well packaged and going at a reasonable price, they will buy it. Chances are, they will recommend the product or service to their friends and the benefits of this to your business are tremendous. If your customers are happy with your products or services, you will also be happy and feel motivated to go on.
Marketing can be easy or complex, the choice is always yours to make. However you approach it, here are five things that you should always bear in mind as a business owner.

  1. There is a problem, find it: The purpose of doing business, any business, is to meet a certain need existing in the society. These needs are the problems that your venture needs to solve. Should you approach it well, you can always make money out of it. Come up with the solution to the needs or problems in your area and you will be in business. But solutions in themselves are not enough!
  2. Decide on the price: Supposing there is a need for internet connectivity in your area and you open a cyber cafe to meet the need, will that be enough? Once you have found solutions to the problems, ensure you price your solutions well to avoid locking out potential customers.
  3. Spread the word: Finding a solution to a given problem is good, pricing it reasonably is even better but you need to let people know that you have the solution at a price they can afford.Marketing is very important. Do not just sit back and expect to see great sales. You have to work hard for it.
  4. Customer service: Have you met business people who seem not to care about you as their customer? Without customers, there is no business. Treat them well and they are likely to stick around for long. Don't worry, you can add the cost of doing this to your products and still convince them that it is free! Customers love attention, give it to them.
  5. Reap your profits: After doing all the work, it is only fair that you earn something by the end of the day. Pat yourself on the back and take the cheque to the bank.Do not however be blinded by the desire to make a lot as this may negatively affect how you view your customers and they will certainly notice it.
